Friday night was the Yogi Berra bobble head give away. Yogi made a surprise guest appearance which was great but that is not the point of this blog. It occurred to me that when the Yankees have give aways that all the fans who enter and meet the requirements such as under 14 or over 21 of the first 18,000 etc get the give away. Why not take it to an even more granular level where if you are wearing the colors of a baseball team other than the Yankees, you don't get the give away. By doing this it would make more of the give away item available to actual Yankee fans.

Along these lines I also had another idea, which is why not create a nuisance fee or surcharge. If you wear the colors of the team the Yanks are playing there would be a $5 surcharge to get into the stadium. If you are wearing the colors of another baseball team which the Yanks are not playing for that game then there would be a $10 surcharge to get in. Then finally if you are wearing the colors of a baseball team which doesn't even exist anymore then there would be a $100 surcharge.

Yes, both of these ideas may have been alcohol induced.
