Leave it to us to allow another long losing streak to come to an end. That's twice this year, first the Red Sux and now Seattle. We just can't seem to stand prosperity...ugh!

It is never good to run into a team that is on a long loosing streak (I have said that before). It is really never good when the loosing streak is as long as Seattle's current skein. Let's hope that there is no one left from Freddy Garcia's days with Seattle to provide any insight to today's Seattle line-up on how his is likely to pitch. We have our work cut out for us to bring their losing streak up from 15 to 18...but we can certainly do it!
Since when are the Yankees allowed to have facial hair. Joe, get control of your team. Martin's mustache needs to go, pal. Pronto!!!!!
Under normal circumstances I cringe when a Yankee goes to the Home Run Derby. I am convinced that the Derby screws up a power hitters swing. I firmly believe that it happened to Jason Giambi the year that he won the Derby. That year he had great HR numbers prior to the mid season exhibition but the rest of the year he really tailed off. I am hoping that the same thing doesn't happen to Robby. I am thinking that his youth will mean that his stamina isn't affected and the fact that his Dad pitched to him...knowing exactly where Robby's power zone is doesn't put him in a bad zone. Of course the fact that he beat a Red Sox to win the championship puts everything in perspective and makes it OK...this time!!!!
